Shane was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania in the late seventies and eighties. He was raised on a healthy dose of old school hip hop, kool aid, punk rock, egg rolls, skateboarding and Star Wars. Later, he played in bands, roadied, put out records, did a zine, joined the Coast Guard, and somehow, along the way, learned how to drive a forklift.

Upon moving to New York he spent the next five years assisting every photographer he could, from fashion to food. In that time he developed a love of the process, lighting, problem-solving and creative alchemy that produces unforgettable images. He also found a love for all types of photography. Whether photographing a band playing in the basement of a bar in Brooklyn or capturing a sunset over a lake in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, it's all the same to him.

He has worked with Institute of Dress, Commonwealth Proper, Charles and Victoria, Ford Models, The Talent Agency, SubRosa, Carmelita Couture, Erin Snow, Popomomo, Sodafine, Purldrop, Metropop Magazine, Zink Magazine, Chew Magazine, The L Magazine, The Otis School of Art and The Printed Blog.
